Fire safety

The firefighters came to visit us last week. We learned about how to stay safe in case of a fire. If the fire alarm in our house goes off we should GO OUT AND STAY OUT.
We learned that we should call 911 in case of an emergency.
We also learned how to stop, drop, and roll.

We also had fun dressing up as firefighters in the classroom. Dressing up as different characters and professions is a great opportunity for students to pretend play and practice new vocabulary.

We had so much fun learning from the Aurora Fire Department
Stop, drop and roll!

Listening to the firefighters

The firefighters put on all their gear and let the children touch their uniforms so that they know not to be afraid in case of a real emergency.
