November - Family

We've been learning all about families in November. We like to talk about how all families are different and how we all have different traditions and celebrations. We talked about how families are different sizes and have different members. We talked about special things we like to do with our families and we graphed if we live in a house, an apartment, or a  bus. Here a couple snapshots so far.

We created pictures of our families to hang on the wall.

We used stones with eyes, noses, mouths and ears to create silly faces!

We created stick families.

We used yarn, fabric and googly eyes to create the stick families.

Friends are the best!

We spin the paper clip, identify the body part, and glue it on our paper.

We built houses out of legos, duplos, blocks, and cups.

We looked through magazines and identified foods and drinks we like to enjoy with our families.

Pendulum painting

We love to experiment with different types of creating art. This past week we did pendulum painting and it was AWESOME! We definitely have some talented artists on our hands.

Learning letters; a multisensory experience

In preschool, learning letters and counting is something we do every day. Here are some ideas on how to incorporate fun learning at home!

We cut out lots of letters from magazines and sorted them.

As you know, October was all about everything fall! We learned about pumpkins, apples, leaves, etc. Here are a few shots of some of our learning opportunities from October.
